Bringing Change Management into the Future of Pharma

Change management was the subject of a panel I moderated at the Momentum Promotional Review Conference. Joining me was Jennifer Gould, Director, Marketing Effectiveness, GlaxoSmithKline and Madhavi Bellamkonda, Intuitive/ Global Regulatory Intelligence & Integration Management and former Director, Regulatory Affairs Advertising and Promotion, Abbott.

We discussed how the need to connect with customers is driving Pharma to disrupt their current content models, and deliver personalization in a highly regulated industry. Automation is an important solution to operationalize personalization. And embracing automation demands change.

I’m living and breathing the need for change management every day given that our new AI-Powered software, SecureCHEK AI, is now on the market to replace a decades-old manual process for pre-checking the quality of promotional content prior to distribution. Change is inevitable.

We all must remember: Machines will never replace people, they will just make them faster. So it’s up to us as humans to change our mindset and work hand in hand with the innovation.

Below is a slide we used during the presentation to address the success factors for leaning into change. The panel focused on three: how you show up for change, how you inspire and motivate others to change, and how everyone can be a willing partnership in change.

So let’s all lean in.
